Stephanie & Brian Plan Their Wedding The Proposal redtagcrazy.com blog

Stephanie’s version:

When Brian was acting “shady” I started to have doubts that he wanted to be with me, that maybe we were moving too fast. I couldn’t have been farther from the truth. That “shadiness” was him trying to hide a ring and upcoming proposal (gasp!).

Imagine my surprise when I went to help set up dinner, mac makeup, ask him to get a soda from the fridge (after about ten minutes of standing right in front of the fridge),cheap mac makeup, and I see those words spelled out on the freezer. I asked him if he was serious (multiple times), and then Brian got down on one knee.

Of course I said yes, squealed, cried, mac makeup wholesale, the works. I couldn’t be happier to spend my life with the most amazing man in the world.

Everything fell into place as soon as I could actually sit still again, and all the shadiness made sense. I just felt silly for doubting the best thing in my life.

And we both agree, it’s pretty fitting that the proposal was in our favorite room in the house.

Brian’s version:

Hiding an upcoming proposal from an Intel chick is difficult, at best. The ring was just as difficult, as it came in the mail. To the door. While she was home. Luckily she was distracted enough that I was able to sneak the package into the room and under the bed without her knowing. Then the hard part… waiting. Almost 6 weeks of waiting, and trying to plan out the proposal.

I had originally planned on a scenic beach or hiking trail, with the puppy in tow. I decided on a backup plan though, because well… I know her. I had decided the day before that ‘tomorrow’ would be the day, and it would go down in a place that we both love, the kitchen. I don’t think there is a more romantic spot for food lovers than the kitchen in our own home.

During the day, while she was at work (well, class..) I moved all the letters I would need into the correct order, but left them jumbled in the pile of letters and numbers, for later. As I was making dinner, I re-arranged the letters to spell out what’s in the photo, and then waited again. I did it one or two letters at a time, over about 20 minutes so she wouldn’t notice from the couch. When she came in to get her chicken and broccoli, She asked me to grab her an iced tea from the fridge. I noticed there we’re any in there about the time she said “are you serious?” I thought she was talking about the iced tea, so I said “well yeah, I don’t see any in here….”. Then I turned and saw her eyes welling up and she said it again. The rest, is history.

I’m so glad I found my perfect match in life, and I can’t wait to live out the rest of it.

Body and Mind How Yoga Helps redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Newsflash: Yoga is good for you. As the oldest surviving method of “exercise” (5000 years and counting) yoga must be doing something right!  More than 14 million Americans currently practice yoga. Here are the top 10  healthy reasons why you should make the number 14,000,001:

It’s never boring. Yoga offers 10,000 different poses (asanas)?  You could essentially practice 15 different asanas daily, 3 times a week, and never do the same pose twice for almost 5 years! Yayyyyy! Try that with the “Random” function on the elliptical runner! Truth be told, there is some repetition in classes, and the “hot” classes do the same sets over and over, but it isn’t mind numbing!
You’ll stand taller.  With a stronger core and increased body awareness your posture is bound to improve.
Your clothes will fit better. Many of the poses help increase your muscle tone, and, specifically, yoga lengthens your muscles. Muscle takes up less room than fat,mac makeup wholesale, and, it doesn’t look like cottage cheese, so your body “looks” better.
You’ll be flexible. Stretching feels good. Stretching safely releases icky lactic acid that’s built up in your muscles, while it stretches ligaments and tendons and all of the other “soft” tissue in your body. As one of those people who used to sound like Rice Krispies trying to get ALL THE WAY DOWN to the floor to pick up yet another Lego piece, yoga helps a bunch!
You’ll be strong mentally and physically. By supporting your body weight in novel ways – on one leg, or on your arms – and performing the work slowly and consciously, you make your brain and body stronger. Most poses require using the core (see Pilates blog), and all poses require using the mind, so your lobes get a workout too. Added bonus – nearly every yoga student will tell you they feel happier after class.
You’ll stay healthy. Yoga lowers blood pressure and heart rate. Yoga has been associated with lowering cholesterol levels while boosting immune system function when practiced for as little as 8 weeks. There are even studies that show yoga helps with depression, asthma, and other diseases.
It’s a SAFE way to DETOX your body!!! Yoga is the only activity on earth that massages all of your INTERNAL organs, glands and other parts. Seriously, would you ask a massage to focus on your spleen? Eww!. As you stretch and breathe in yoga, you give your body lots of oxygen and increase the blood supply to your body parts. All of those sneaky toxins hiding in your body get the boot too.
You’ll stress LESS. Physical activity, like yoga does a great job at this – you’ll be so busy remembering to breathe into your back, mac makeup, and stretch and balance and HOLD – you have ZERO opportunity to think about paying your bills (although, you may experience a passing thought or two at what new yumminess is on RTC). Anyway, yoga gives your brain the opportunity to “be quiet” for a period of time, so maybe you can better put things in perspective after class.
You’ll breathe easier. Most people breathe shallowly, never releasing all the old, stale air in their lungs. With an emphasis on the breath, yoga helps you breathe better. Deeper, more productive breathing leads to all kinds of great things like increased lung capacity so you can work out longer and harder, calming the nervous system and de-stressing the rest of the body.
You’ll fall in love. Okay, maybe not with a person, although numerous professional athletes and other hotties do yoga at our club. Some research says yoga elevates the hormone oxytocin which is the “bonding” and “connecting to others” hormone.  Maybe that’s why yoga practitioners get so much play! Some people say yoga has strengthened their committed relationships (is that just from the increased flexibility?)If nothing else, cheap mac makeup, you’ll likely fall for yoga itself.

Your gym, rec center, library, yoga studio, and grocery stores (Whole Foods) may offer a variety of yoga classes ranging in price from free to about $20 per class. Or, cheap out and TiVO some of the many yoga classes on TV or borrow yoga videos from the library!

Lots of things coming up – some 10 minute workouts that you can do during Crazy Sales, and lots of nutrition info.

Crissi’s 4th shipment! redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

current sale alerts blog my account

Hey everyone! Ok so, technically, this is my 4th shipment, although its only my second blog. I just wanted to clear that up so no one goes looking for Crissi’s 1st and 2nd shipment blogs and they are nowhere to be found! My first 2 shipments were fun and extremely exciting for me, since I had already been lurking on the site for close to a month before I started chatting heavily in chick chat. I have basically become obsessed with this site, and can’t go more than an hour or so without at least pulling up the URL on my phone and seeing what item is up. If I go longer than an hour, its definitely because I’m asleep! I am so incredible thankful for being introduced to this site by my lovely friend Amanda.

Now for my 4th shipment!

Cullen ¾ Sleeved Knit Cardigan, Small

First up is my coveted Cullen cardigan. If you were around about a month ago, then you probably noticed me stalking it with a passion… then, finally, I got it. At first, I think I was being paranoid about the sleeves, because they are ¾ length, and this material is SO thick, so I felt like they were =E 2stuck” on my forearm and I felt like they should be up a little higher on my arm, but later when I put it on again, it felt fine. I was going to be devastated if I had to send it back, considering I grabbed the last small and there were no mediums either. Let me stress the quality of Cullen, it is AMAZING. This is the only Cullen item I own at the moment, but judging from this sweater and other reviews from my CCers, sounds li ke Cullen is definitely at the top of the list for quality material. I love this little cardigan so much.

DVB Signature Star with Purple Crystals, Size 29

I was so nervous to get these because I had never tried on Beckham jeans before and since it was a crazy sale, I had to be right the first time. I originally put a 28 in my cart, but almost immediately switched out for the 29’s, and am I glad I did! The 29’s fit perfectly. I hope to own more DVB’s in the future. The material is so soft… which I am gradually finding out with designer denim, which is a major bonus to already getting a great deal on the merchandise. I’m not sure if these are all gone, but if you don’t have them and see them come up, grab them fast!

LinQ Velvet Trim Patched Tee,mac makeup wholesale, Rose, Small

I was pleasantly surprised by this top. I picked up my first one on the first Crazy Sale event day. I almost didn’t get it, because I was in the car when it came up, but I had yet to buy anything the whole day, so I called up my friend and she snagged it for me. Its probably my favorite linQ s hirt I’ve bought. It’s so soft and I can’t wait to wear it once the cold weather sets back in. The little bit of velvet on each of the shoulders adds just the right amount of flare to the style of the shirt. I loved it so much that I picked up another one, in Dune, on the 2nd Crazy Sale day!

LinQ Peek A Boo Tee, Black, cheap mac makeup, Small

Ok… I think maybe I lied. This is probably tied with the Velvet Trim tee for my favorite linQ top. I knew it was going to be soft as ever, but it just seemed to fit perfectly. And the peek-a-boo slit in the front sits in just the right spot. If you’ve got a little bit of cleavage, you can DEFINITELY see it poking out, which I think is very subtle and sexy. I wish I had picked up more of these, but I plan to have this shirt around for awhile. It’s perfect for a chill night out with friends when you don’t feel like wearing something too slinky, wholesale mac makeup!

Zensei Ribbed Tank Top, Size 2

This is my first Zensei purchase and I give them a thumbs up so far. The material is soft and comfy, and the deisgn is pretty unique. This was an impulse buy, and I’m glad I got it. I wish I had some sweatpants to match, but I haven’t bought any yet of the ones that have come up. (I’m not Erica, I CAN resist Zensei HAHA Erica, just messing with ya!). But I definitely think I will buy more Zensei in the future, especially if Erica’s magic pants come up!

I will be back very soon with my 5th shipment which includes Denim Day #2 and a few other choice purchases that I’m excited about!

Slimming Fashion Tips Wide Hips redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

It seems to be a trend with this blog series, but – wear clothes in the right size that fit properly.  While this may hide your hips, it makes all of you look larger in general, mac makeup, and often frumpy. Clothing that fits your body is what you want to wear – not too tight, no excessive fabric.

Wear clothes that have clean lines around the hip area. You’re not looking to draw attention to the part of your body you’re not happy with, so avoid detailing around the hips.   That also goes for any belts, wholesale mac makeup, embroidery, ties, pleats, etc. that’s visible from the top of the thighs to your waist will point the eye right to your hips. Choose pants with a waistband that’s a bit low, a flat front and a slightly flared leg. This will not only slim  you, but also take attention from the hips.  Along the same lines, wear subdued, cheap mac makeup, dark colors around your hips.

Look for jackets that have wide collars which will match and not exaggerate a wider bottom half. Jackets that are shaped to gently curve or flare out towards the bottom disguise larger hips (come in tighter at the waist and then flares out also accentuates your figure).  Make sure they are longer and never stop mid-hip.  Wider necklines also have the same effect as the wide collared jackets.

Wear skirts that have an A-line cut or those which flare out from a fitted panel at the top rather than skirts which are gathered from the waistband.  As previously stated, this will just draw attention to your hips.  Don’t wear patterns unless they are dark and subtle.  When selecting a dress, go dark (or at least on the lower half).

The basic idea is to avoid anything that will cut you mid-hip, horizontally.  This creates the focus of your outfit, you guessed it, at the hip.

Some good finds:

Recent shipments – basic tops redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

I haven’t blogged since my first 2 shipments and I’ve lost track of what came when so I’m just going to group it all together into a few blogs divided by category.  Up first, basic tops!

Sizing info for reference – I’m usually a medium in most tops, with LinQ I tend to size down to small though.

Aude Carol in dandelion, size 2 – This top is SO flattering.  My husband literally did a double take when he came home one day and saw me in it for the first time.  The small details are what makes the shirt. (such as the gather in front as well as the textured look that the fabric has, although it’s not textured at all, cheap mac makeup, it’s actually buttery soft).  It’s slightly sheer but works great with a cami underneath.

LinQ Double Layer Tank, mac makeup, small – This is a great basic and as to be expected from LinQ shaped just right and very soft and comfy.  I haven’t worn this outside the house yet since it’s still winter (will it ever end??) but I have plenty of ideas for what to wear it with when the weather is finally right.

LinQ V-strap Back Cami in sherbert, wholesale mac makeup, medium – This is a cute cami and I love the v-strap back but I don’t own any strapless bras so I’ve only been brave enough to wear it under my ZENsei floral track jacket.  It works great though. It is just the right length to peek out the bottom and the gathered neckline goes well with the jacket halfway zipped.  The sherbert color also looks great with the sage of the jacket – so although it wasn’t my intention when I bought this top for it to be only worn under something it works perfectly.

LinQ Raglan Short Sleeve Cowl Tee, small – Without a doubt, you must plan to wear a cami under this top if you don’t want to flash people!  That being said, this is another very flattering top.  The material is so soft and hangs just right (pardon the messiness the picture shows, I failed to straighten it before my husband snapped the photo).  I had to keep myself from buying other colors!  I absolutely love this top.

Stay tuned for more!!  I’ve shopped more than I realized since I last blogged

Summer Scents redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

It has been a while since I have gone perfume shopping. I can’t wear it right now because of the baby but I am ready to get my wish list started. What better way to test out perfumes than to go to Sephora. My  Mother In Law and I went this weekend and of course I left with many samples..lol. I LOVE SAMPLES!  Out of everything I tested, here are my top 5.(keep in mind this is only MY opinion, mac makeup wholesale, this does not reflect the opinion of others….lol. I also got the info on Sephora.com if you are interested) ~my disclaimer

These are listed in no specific order. I love them all!

Couture Couture by Juicy Couture

Introducing Juicy Couture’s ‘it girl’ fragrance. Where she goes, the party follows. Her rule? Do the don’ts—show off, be loud, spoil yourself, talk to strangers—and love life! This scent opens with a top of succulent pink grape accord frolicking in a field of natural orange flower and mandarin. A heart of blushed plum and honeysuckle flirts with bold star jasmine. At back, creamy sandalwood lazes with moist amber in a haze of rich vanilla. Mix it with love and make the world smell good.  I have the other two perfumes Juicy makes and I like them but I think this one smells better than either of those. I loved it!

Miss Dior Cherie

This is a modern fragrance that captures the timeless couture spirit of Dior. A new interpretation of the original Miss Dior fragrance, Miss Dior Cherie combines pure couture spirit with the audacity of youthful, playful notes for a fresh approach to a timeless classic. Notes of chic, green tangerine, violette, and pink jasmine mingle with soft patchouli, musk, and delectably sweet strawberry leaves and caramelized popcorn for a delicious scent that’s truly irresistible.  This smells of class!

Daisy by Marc Jacobs

Enter the world of Daisy: fresh and feminine, with a playful innocence. At the heart of Daisy is a floral with vintage edge: violet. Sophisticated, with a touch of whimsy, violet captures the eclectic, vintage flavor of Marc Jacobs’ feminine, edgy designs. Always elegant, always enchanting – but not too serious – Daisy is a sparkling floral bouquet, mac makeup, spirited and fresh, wrapped in comfort and warmth.

Heart & Daggers by Ed Hardy

A tantalizing, abstract floral cocktail, this fragrance reflects the same colorful vibrancy, optimistic energy, and open-minded movement of Ed Hardy. Glittering fruits and florals, radiant woods, and sensual musks create an airy and open feeling that conveys the Ed Hardy style. Blood orange and juicy Gala apple meet violet leaf while energetic waves of mango, apple blossoms, and pink jasmine join. The alluring background blend of cashmere musk, amber, warm benzoin tears, cheap mac makeup, and blonde woods captivates all who dare to follow. As with the Juicy I have the first two perfumes by Ed hardy and love them but I love this one equally as well. I am not a fan of Ed hardy clothing but I love his perfumes!

This last one surprised me because I see some of her line at CVS and wasn’t a fan but today her new perfume is on my top 5.

SJP NYC by Sarah Jessica Parker

The new scent of style. A total celebration of fashion and fragrance. A deliciously addictive and colorful fruity floral built around a vivacious wild strawberry accord with a cocktail of feminine floral and creamy sensual undertones.

So there you have it. My top 5 picks! What are you personal favorites?

How to Use Up Leftover Wine redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Nothing is more annoying than spending money on something and having it go to waste. Yet it happens all the time. We misjudge what we need. We misjudge our time. We don’t get the chance to finish what we started. Waste is sometimes a side effect of our crazy lives. And wine is no exception.

Once the cork is removed from a wine bottle and oxygen is introduced, the clock starts ticking. Most red and white wines will last about 2 to 3 days before there is a marked decline in flavor. Dessert wines can last 5 to 7 days and Ports around 3 weeks.  Of course, these days are an estimate and depend entirely on a person’s palate. If you still think it tastes good 4, 5, or 7 days longer, drink it. A loss of flavor doesn’t mean it has gone “bad” and will harm you. But what do you do when you have wine left and you no longer want to drink it? Throw it out? Not quite yet. There are still some steps you can take to salvage it.

1. Cook. Even though the wine may not be palatable to drink, often times it will still work for recipes. If you don’t have a recipe available for your particular type of wine, a quick Google search for “type of wine + recipe” (e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon recipe) will usually do the trick.  Two of my favorite places to find recipes are All Recipes (www.allrecipes.com) and Food and Wine’s website (www.foodandwine.com).

2. Make a marinade or vinaigrette. White wines usually work well to marinate fish, chicken and pork, red are perfect for steaks, briskets, and other red meats. Recipes usually require the meat to set at least overnight. This buys you a day if you don’t have time to cook that night. Vinaigrettes will last a while, depending on the recipe you use, and can also be made out of red or white wine.

3. Freeze it. If you don’t have time to cook that day, freeze the wine. I know most of us have ice dispensers, so you’ll probably need to pick up some cheap ice cube trays at the dollar store. Keep them on hand and when you need them, mac makeup, pour the wine in and stick it in the freezer. Once the cubes are solid, transfer them to a plastic freezer bag. Next time you make a recipe calling for wine, wholesale mac makeup, take the wine cubes out and drop them into the recipe (if it’s hot, such as soups or sauces) or melt and then add it to your recipe. You can also use the cubes to deglaze a pan in a recipe that calls for it.

4. Make other drinks. The wine may not be great to drink by itself, but wine a few days old is perfect for making sangrias or mulled wine. While the winter is still lingering, mulled wine is an ideal evening relaxer, and in the summer, sangrias are a perfect porch accompaniment.

5. Use it for a luxury spa bath. Red wine is not only good for your heart, mac makeup wholesale, it’s great for your skin. Add it to your bathwater to increase circulation and rejuvenate elasticity. Then pick up a book and spend some time relaxing and rejuvenating your mind from your crazy life!

RTC’s newest addition Meet Kelly! redtagcrazy.com blog

May 19th, 2012

current sale alerts blog my account

Hey Ladies,

As some of you know already, I am Kelly, the newest addition to the RTC crew.  I will be assisting Kent on the buying team.  Just wanted to share with you a little about myself.

Here’s my pic to put a face to the name.

(I know…cheezy picture.  Had to take it for promotional modeling work I used to do.)

Before this week, cheap mac makeup, I solely worked at my own business as a wardrobe consultant and personal shopper.  Not a celebrity personal shopper/stylist, but a personal stylist that the average woman could afford as well.  I specialize in shopping secondhand and discount. I have been a professional wardrobe consultant and personal shopper since owning my own clothing boutique in San Diego County.

While assisting my regular clients there I realized I had a natural talent to create outfits that complimented individual body types and personal preferences. I put action to this new found passion and Kelly By Design was born.

I studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising located in the Garment District of Los Angeles and graduated with a degree in Product Development. I commit myself to providing my clients with valuable services, while exploring their personal style trends, searching for affordable fashions on a dime, offering excellent quality with professionalism and expertise.  I plan on doing this also for you all, my RTC clients!

Okay, so enough with the boring stuff.  So here are some shoots I have worked on in the past that I have styled.  This first one is an up and coming pop singer named Kayslee Collins.  A very talented girl and a natural model.  While shooting a lot of her promo material, we also shot her music video at the same time.  Very cool.

And,mac makeup, here’s a music store shoot in Carlsbad.  Yay Cbad!

So more personally….I have lived in San Diego all my life.  I have one brother a year younger than me who owns his own business, Wherever Shuttle, a Biodiesel Shuttle Company.  My car, wholesale mac makeup, my beast of a car (79 turbo diesel Mercedes) runs off of Veggie oil also.  Anyone can do it.  Lovecraft.com if you want more info on it.  I have a great boyfriend of five years now and a new addition to our family, Bella, our Doberman pup.  We live in East County San Diego.

Besides that I am a professional shopaholic.  I like hiking, traveling, kayaking and spending time with my family.

(bella boo)

I’m so excited to join the RTC team and I look forward to helping you all out with whatever style Q’s might come up.  Feel free to contact me thru info@trulynetworks.com with any style requests or brand requests you might have.

Stylishly,

Kelly
